About Vietnam Coffee
The French brought coffee into Vietnam in the early 1850s. At the beginning of 1900, coffee was grown in several northern provinces of Vietnam. After that, the French began to cultivate coffee gardens on the land of the Central Highlands and gradually developed into the South Central Highlands and the Southeast.
Stretching through a historical process in Vietnam, in the end, the Central Highlands region is the convergence of all the advantages both in terms of ecology and suitable land for coffee trees to grow and develop. Since then, Robusta coffee products have become a symbol and pride of the Central Highlands in general, and Buon Ma Thuot in particular in the context of international economic integration. Along with that is Arabica coffee products associated with Cau Dat area of Lam Dong province, although the output of this product only accounts for 5% of Vietnam’s total coffee output.
